QUALIFYING: Matt Hirschman Claims Mayhew Tools Pole At White Mountain
NORTH WOODSTOCK, N.H. –– Matt Hirschman picked up his ninth career Mayhew Tools Pole Award Saturday in advance of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour’s inaugural race at White Mountain Motorsports Park.
The Northhampton, Pennsylvania, driver powered the No. 60 Pee Dee Motorsports Chevrolet around the quarter-mile in 11.552 seconds (77.909 mph) in qualifying for the Independence Day 200.

It’s Hirschman’s first pole on the tour since 2018 at Oswego Speedway, a race he won. In fact, two of his three career tour wins were from the pole.
Doug Coby qualified second at 11.598 (77.600), followed by championship points leader Justin Bonsignore at 11.613 (77.499).
Matt Swanson and Ron Silk were fourth and fifth, respectively.
Ron Silk qualified sixth and Chris Pasteryak, who had the fastest lap earlier in the day in practice was seventh, followed by Timmy Solomito, Dave Sapienza and Eric Goodale.
The Independence Day 200 is scheduled to take the green flag at 7 p.m. ET. The race will air live on TrackPass on NBC Gold.
